This is the only weight-loss camp in the UK led by a qualified osteopath and naturopath giving you absolute confidence in your care and safety.
You will be part of a small group to combine personal supervision with a great group dynamic, learning and experiencing activities alongside others. However, more than just a military boot camp or fat camp, this program incorporates detailed, tailor-made one on one consultations and on-going support to enable you to set short, medium and long term goals; use the camp to learn methods, build confidence and start achieving your aspirations and develop your on-going lifestyle plan for the future after camp (including continuing support at the level you require).
Two sessions of osteopathic Neurological Integration, and a choice of massage, reflexology and other spa treatments included.

With your booking confirmation, you will receive your course folder including several questionnaires that you are required to complete and return so that an initial appraisal of your current health and fitness and your goals can be determined and an outline of your personalised program can be prepared. Soon after arrival, your individual induction will include a physical examination to assess your fitness and body parameters. You will have a session of Neurological Integration to optimise your body systems and also to identify digestive or physical imbalances which may need extra assistance. If required, samples may be taken for nutritional or allergy testing. Your body metabolic type will be assessed. More details
Your individual program of goals will then be determined. Every day you will have opportunities to discuss your progress and needs with the course leader. You will learn how to assess your own nutritional and energy requirements, why some exercises don’t work and the very best exercises for you and how to optimise your energy, health and happiness. At the end of the course your de-brief will include your achievements and a workable lifestyle plan for the future. The camp price includes weekly email support for 4 weeks following the camp. Further on-going support can be arranged.

Your Personalised Plan for Weight Loss
Everybody knows that if you eat too many calories and don’t get enough exercise you will put on weight. However, losing weight is not always as simple as lowering your calorie intake and getting more exercise (although that is a definite requirement!). Many people have the experience of working hard to lose weight, only to put it back on (and more) very quickly - its almost as if your body has its own set-point that it keeps trying to return too. This is due to several possible factors:
•eating the wrong types and ratio of foods for your individual body metabolic type
•food intolerances
•insulin resistance and metabolic syndrome
•stress and adrenal fatigue
•hormone imbalances and thyroid insufficiency
•doing the wrong types and intensity of exercise for your individual body type
At the Weight loss camp, we will determine and teach you about your body, the type and quantity of foods you should be eating and exercise you should be doing, how to normalise any hormone imbalances and how to deal with excessive or negative stress and emotional mismanagement.
The camp is held at a beautiful house in North Devon situated on the stunning beach Putsborough Sands.

The camp is restricted to eight people for a great group dynamic with personal supervision.
As we age, we slowly start to lose muscle mass - about 10% with every decade. Muscle burns far more calories than other parts of your body (about 45% more!) simply because of their constant activity: as you get older or less active you naturally are burning less calories and so you put on weight very easily (that’s why you seem to get fat just looking at food).
Traditional low calorie diets and aerobic exercise actually tend to cause you to lose muscle. Low calorie diets cause your metabolism to slow down to conserve energy and studies show that when doing aerobic exercise, between 25% and 60% of the weight loss will be from muscle. This is because the longer you exercise, the more muscle you break down (due to the effects of stress hormones like cortisol).
We use short bouts (about 20minutes) of high intensity muscle toning exercises. The short time periods keep your mind focused and the intensity gives high levels of self-fulfilment and endorphin release for natural invigoration. This also makes it easy for you to continue your program at home and achieve your long-term goals.
We intersperse body training sessions with mind training sessions. Teaching, training and discussing how to achieve maximum focus for optimum body shaping. Many studies have shown that having a strong mental image of personal goals is the most important factor in achievement -
you literally sculpt yourself to that image.
